The two charts provide information about location and types of dance attendance by young people according to their age in a town in Australia.
Overall, it is evident that private studios were predominant as the preferred venue for dance classes, while ballet classes attracted more people than tap classes.
Turning to the locations, private studios emerged as the most preferred venue, accounting for 48%. This was followed by school halls, which were frequently used by students after school and accounting for roughly 24%. Subsequently, community and other represented about 18%, while college-based studios demonstrated the lowest participation with 10%.
Regarding types of dance, children aged 11 had the highest participation, with over 600 students. Meanwhile, tap classes recorded the lowest attendance by both age groups and had approximately 400–450. In contrast, modern dance appealed more to older students aged 11-16 and attracted around 500 participants, while fewer than 300 young people enrolled in these classes.
