The pie charts compare the expected and factual working areas of psychology learners after course completion.
Overall, most psychologists forecast that private clinics will be their employments, while schools and universities are actually their primary working sectors.
Regarding expectations, 69% and 13% of private clinics and community agencies are predicted to be learners’ employment, respectively, reporting the highest percentages. This is followed by a comparable figure of schools, universities and hospital and medical departments, at 8%. Moreover, only 2% of psychologists after graduating pursue the other line of work.
In reality, the proportions of learners working at educational institutions account for nearly a half, whereas around a quarter of psychologists apply to hospital and medical centers. Furthermore, the share of private clinics comprises 16%, which is double that of the unidentified sectors. Finally, there is an insignificant rate of learners working at community agencies, at 3%, which is less than 10% as anticipated figure.
