The pie chart depicts the attitude of people towards exercise in 2014, categorizing them into 3 groups, while the bar chart reports the distribution of 6 various sport activities among 3 different age groups. Although many people have a positive attitude towards exercising, only a small proportion of them stay active.
According to the pie chart, almost half of the reportees(40%) were already enjoying exercise, and quite a similar proportion(38%) reported that they would like to do more exercise. The quarter of the percentage of reportees were not interested in exercise, showing a negative attitude.
According to the bar chart, people of all age groups, especially young adults(18-34), were mostly engaged in fitness over other activities. Young adults took the highest proportion of this figure, making up about 45%, whereas, adults aged 35-54 made up a bit less(39%). Meanwhile, older ones(55+), showed by far the lowest indicators in this activity(25%). Quite a similar pattern can be observed in the statistics of Yoga, where younger ones are more engaged in the activity, but the indicators are less by almost three times compared to Fitness classes report.
Other activities in which more young people took part were dancing, swimming and cycling, taking up 22%, 28% and 30% of the data, respectively. The proportion of adults cycling was not far behind(30%), while elderly people were mostly into walking, dominating the chart(55%), unlike younger ones who were not active in this activity.
