These two pie charts show the reasons for traffic hold ups in two cities-City A and City B.
Overall, In City A, private car use accounted for the majority cause of traffic congestion while the other sources were the lowest minority causes. Meanwhile in City B, poor publi transportation caused the most traffic problems and roadworks and other reasons caused the least hold ups.
Although there are similarities between both cities regarding the reasons for traffic jam, using a privately owned car resulted in most of the road jams at 45% in City A. However, in City B driving your own car accounted for 30% of the congestion resulting in less traffic.
In City B, taking public transportation caused 35% of the road congestion accounting for the majority reason.However, in City A commuting by public transportation resulted in 25% of the traffic making it the second cause of traffic jam in the area.
Roadworks, accidents and other reasons for road jam had similar percentages for both cities.
