Overall all the electronic items usage consistently grows whereas vacuum cleaners need surges the most throughout these years. While the time spent per week for housework dramatically declined.
In the beginning from the 1920s the number of washing machines was owned by 40% of the residents however it rose to 70% before decreasing in 1960. After that its demand grows again to 70% in 2019. On the other hand refrigerator usage stands at 30% in the beginning and it registered regular growth before plateau at 100% till 2019. While the vaccum cleaner uses showed the most impactful usage starting from 0% and then rising till 90% in a span of 40 years after that balancing the refrigerator till 2019.
However the amount of time spent doing household work continues to register downward trend starting from 50 hours per week then decreasing consistently to 20 hours before declining more to 10 hours in 2019.
