Overall, it can be observed that quality of resources, teaching, and suitable degree courses have major importance in both the years while choosing a specific university. There was a drastic change in consideration of aspects like proximity to parental home and good sports and social activities over the period.
Upon on a close examination, it was evident that choice of university by students was done mainly based on suitable degree courses. However, quality of resources were also played major role while picking an university, although it was decreased with a few percentage in the year 2007 compared to the past decade. Moreover, in the period, percentage of considering quality of teaching is a bit higher than in 1997, but it was remained as one of the major reasons for selecting a university in particular.
On the other hand, proximity to parental home has the lowest priority in the year 1997. However, after a decade, the priority of this became crucial for students. While good sports and social activities used to be another important aspect with a percentage of 19, when choosing the university in 2007, scholars were least bothered of this reason.
