The two charts give information concerning how many people in the USA got married and divorced between 1930 and 2010.
According to the first chart, the total number of marriages in the USA have increased from 1930 to 1950, recording about 2.4 millions in 1950. However, after that until 1980, the number of marriages has decreased to approximately 1.4 millions. The second chart shows similar trend with the first chart because the total divorces number has increased until 1960 and then started to decrease until 1980. However, only difference among the two charts during 1930 and 1980 is that the highest number of people in the USA got married and divorced in 1950 and 1960, respectively.
After 1980, both charts show an increasing pattern. According to the first chart, American have increasingly gotten married, recording a highest number of marriage (1.7 milions). Similarly, more and more American have gotten divorced during 1990 and 2010. It is also observed that the number of marriage in the USA was always siginificantly higher than the number of divorces in the USA over the period.
Overall, it is noteworthy that these two charts show similar pattern and recorded the highest number in 2010.
