Overall, the number of women who decided to have a marriage was highest among the age of 25-29 in the both two years while the age levels of male getting married increased gradually in 2008.
In both 1996 and 2008, there was no case of male aged 16-19 preferred to get married until they turned 20. From then, the percentage of married male from 20 to 34 years old witnessed a rise to reach a peak of 9% in 1996 despite a slight decrease in the above 35-year old groups. However, marriages of mature male aged 30-39 years old rose steadily to almost 12% in 2008.
The early marriage of girls from 16-19 decreased slightly in 2008 compared to the previous twelve-year. After which the number of 25-29 female groups getting married remained the highest with approximately 12%. Other female age groups who were more than 35 years old prefer not getting married as its number dropped to 2%.
