The bar charts demonstrate the data of employed female and male aged between 60 and 64 in four states, in 1970 and 2000.Overall, it is evident that Japan reached the highest proportion of both elderly employed men and women in two periods among other countries. However, the lowest point of employed women mentioned in Belgium in 1970 and 2000.
According to the chart above, Japan showed the highest data of male labor at around 90 percent in 1970 and similarly demonstrated largest percentage of 70 in 2000. With regards to Belgium, it also showed large data for working men at almost 80 percent in 1970, however the data dramatically fell until 20 percent, showing the lowest proportion among other countries in 2000.
If it comes to the chart below of female labor, Japan demonstrated large proportion at around 42 percent in 1970 and the data has showed modest decrease in 30 years.Whereas Belgium showed the lowered percentage at approximately 8-9 percents for both periods in 1970 and 2000 respectively.
