The given bar charts illustrate the percentages of employed men and women who aged 60-64 in four different countries between 1970 and 2000. Overall, Japan had the most eldery people in employmentm, while Belgium had the smallest proportion.
In 1970, Japan was recorded the highest percentage of employed eldery in both men and women, accounting for more than 80% and roughly 42%, respectively. The US was the second largest overall, with around 72% of men and approximatelly 38% in women. In contrast, whereas old men in Belgium had a significant high employment rate, women was the lowest proportion, with just under 8%.
By 2020, eldery workers in Japan still remain its first position, with more than 72% in men and 40% in women. Followed closely by the US, both old men and women in employment were around 55% and almost 39%, respectively. Conversely, despite being recorded the massive percentage in 1970, employed men in Belgium was the most modest, with just under 20%, while female workers accounted for around 7%, being slightly higher than its percentage in 1970.
