It can be seen that Manufacturing accounted for the biggest number in the total people working in town B over the period. Meanwhile, in town A, there was a significant increase in the number of people working in Services from 1960 to 2010 in town A.
Turning to the detail, In 1960, Services accounted for a half of the number of people in town B in comparison with only 24% in town A. Meanwhile, people working in Sales represented 30% and 20% in town A and town B respectively. In town A, the proportion of Manufacturing’s population was 41%, compared with 70% in town B.
In 2010, the percentage of residents working in Services in town A increased dramatically by 64%. Meanwhile, the data of Sales and Manufacturing were both a slight decrease about 16% and 20% respectively. In town B, Sales were relatively the same as that of 50 years ago. Moreover, the number of people working in Manufacturing was 53%, which was two times higher than that of town A.
