The pie chart below demonstrates the percentages of water used in different part in Sydney, Australia in 1997 and 2007. In general, household use, food industry and service industry used water were made up third-fourth of the total in 1997 and 2007.
The largest percentage of water used in food industry in 1997 was 48% and followed by the figure of household use with nearly one-fifth of the total was consumed. The percentage of manufacturing and service industry were 15% and 13% respectively. It can be seen that the made up of percentage of building industry was lowest quantity with 5%.
In spite of the changing in after a decade, food industry still covered largest part of the total with 41%. Service industry was slightly went up to 25%, following by the household used 21% in third position. At the same time, there was an insignificantly change in building industry and manufacturing percentages, it was respectively with 2% and 11%.
