The pie graph represents the use of amount of water in percentages by various sectors of Australian city Sidney in the year of 1997 and 2007.
At the first glance, graph indicates that food industry is using nearly half of total water resources.And there is a decreasing trend of water consumption by food and water industry during the year 1997 to 2007.
The use of water by food industry is decreased by 7% in a decade, from 1997 to 2007 by 48% to 41% respectively. Which is followed by manufacturing and building industries. As the amount of water usage of manufacturing companies reduced to 15% to 11%. And a 3% drop in water consumption by building industries. In contrast, there is boom in water usage by two of sectors. The service industry usage increase approximately doubled as 13% in 1997 to 25% in 2007. Likewise household water usage also increased by 2% during the period of 10 years.
