The two pie chart illustrate the proportion of five sources of water use in Sydney, Australia in 1997 and 2007.
Overall, in both years, the most considerable usu of water were in food industry and household use, which together accounted for over half the use of water. While serving industry and manufacturing sources generated the least amount of water in Australia. In all types of water use, building industry was only in minimal change over 10 year period.
Water used by food industry comprised of 48% in the first year and this showed decrease of water use about 41% in 2007. Likewise, in 1997, household use generated 19% which rose marginally to 21%, 10 years later.
With regards to the remaining methods of using water, there was an approximate 12% growth in water use in serving industry between year 1997 to 2007.
On the other hand, manufacturing and building industry were always in lower use of water respectively, 15% and 5% in 1997 and 11% and 2% in 2007.
