The pie charts below give information about the amount of water used for three different purposes in six regions of the world in percent.
Looking from an overall perspective it is readily apparent that water used in agriculture is more common among the countries except few of them use less water in this field. And the lowest use of water is in the industrial area.
The highest water demand is 88 percent in Central Asia in the Agriculture sector. Similarly, the Africans demand is 84 percent and slightly more than 80 percent of total water demand in Southeast Asia is consume for agriculture. In fact, this sector is dominating in these country. After that South America contain more than 70 percent where as North America less than 40, Europe is above 30 percent for agricultural area.
Domestic use is highest in South America which is near about 20 percent. Res of the countries is less than 16 percent and Central Asia and Africa are in demand of 5 and 7 percent of water demand for domestic uses respectively. Industrial areas is lowest in water demand.
