The chart illustrates information about percentage of employees in agriculture, industry and service during 1980 and 2010 among Germany, the USA, Japan and China.
Overall, the amount of workers in industry was higher during both years and in all countries, except China where there were more people working in agriculture while in other countries a small percentage of people was always working in this field. For services all countries had approximately the same amount.
In 1980 all countries had 40-60% of workers in industry with the highest percantage of 60% in Germany and the lowest one of 40% in China. In contrast, in 2010 industry had much more workers (from 70% up to 80%) in all countries, except China with only 40% of workers in this field. Additionally, in 1980 in China a bigger amount of employees were working in agriculture as well as in services, but it was decreased in 2010.
In cocnlusion, the amount of workers in industry field increased with years while the amount of workers in agriculture and services stayed the same in all countries except China.
