Meanwhile, using telephones and talking with colleagues constituted 15% and 14%, respectively. The formal meeting category made up 12%. By contrast, the other things category made up merely 7%, which was the smallest proportion in 1980.
In 2006, the using computers accounted for the highest proportion at 35%, while using telephone and talking with colleagues catigories constituted the same proportions at 8% in using telephone categoty and 9% in talking with colleagues category. Meanwhile, using paper documents and formal meeting categories accounted for 15% and 14%, respectively. The other things category accounted for 16%. In addition, the using email category constituted only 3%, which was the smallest percentage throughout the period.
