The bar chart illustrates the percentage of people who hend holidays in four different types of housing in three different years.

Overall, it is evident that staying with family prevailed other options, during all 3 periods, with ceveral shifts. In the first 2 decades, camping, hotels and rented apartment were in total just under a half of the pie, but in the last period they became more than a half.

Looking at the details, staying with family was more than a half of the pie at 52% and 54% in 1988 and 1998 respectively; however, it experienced then a slightly decline to 44% in 2008. With the respect to the hotels, it was in the third place at 15% in 1988, but it rocketed then to second place at 22% in both 1998 and 2008.

It is interesting to note that camping (26%) was three times as higher as rented apartment (7%) in 1988. However, rented apartment witnessed a significant rise to 22% in the following years, and then it became twice more than camping (12%) in 2008.
