Overall, Rolex had the most significant growth in sales over the two years. In contrast, the percentage of other brands dropped, with Omega having the most dramatic loss in market share.
In 2020, Rolex, Omega, and Cartier were the three biggest watch companies. Each of the proportions was 39.50%, 15.60%, and 14.50%. However, in 2021, while the shares of Rolex experienced a rapid rise to almost half of the total, Omega and Cartier witnessed a decrease in sales rate, with 12.70% for Omega and 13.80% for Cartier.
AP, Patek, and Longines had smaller shares in the Swiss Market in 2020. The three brands share a close percentage of sales, which is around 10%. Although the figures for all the brands experienced a fall, the sales of AP dropped slightly by 1% in 2021. While Longines’s market share saw a swift decrease to 8.90%, the sales rate of Patek went down sharply to 8.80%.
