The bar chart compares the level of water in six different countries in Australia from October 2009 to 2010.
Overall, almost all countries experienced an upward trend in terms of water levels except for Darwin reversing the trend and Brisbane remaining unchanged throughout the examined years. Additionally, hydrological level was the highest in Canberra, while the reverse was true in Darwin and Melbourne.
The water level in Canberra, Perth, and Melbourne exhibited a similar upward trend over the period. Specifically, both Melbourne and Canberra followed similar increasing patterns in the initial years, with tangible disparity in the water levels, beginning with 20% and nearly 80% in 2009, after which these figures somehow rose by 20% the next year, with Canberra reaching its peak of a whopping 100%. Meanwhile, more pronounced change was observed in Perth, where the proportion of water level soared from 40% to a staggering 75% in 2010, whereas there was a 1 or 2% change in water level in Sydney at around 80%.
In contrast, Darwin followed the opposite trend, starting at over 40% in 2009 and halving to 20% in the final year. Interestingly, the only country which underwent no change was Brisbane at approximately 68% in both timeframes.
