The charts illustrate what UK graduate and postgraduate students who did not go into full time work did after leaving college in 2008.

A majority of both the graduates and post graduates decided to pursue further studies , with the number of students being 29665 and 2725 respectively. The least popular choice amongst students was voluntary work in either case. Only 3500 graduates and 345 post graduates did voluntary work.

Furthermore, 16235 graduates were unemployed. A similar case was exhibited when it came to postgraduates, being 1625 of them not working after their college had ended. Conversely, 17735 graduates and 2535 post graduates enrolled themselves in part time work.

All in all, Most students decided to pursue higher education ,making it the most sought after choice by students. In contrast, the least amount of students went into voluntary work.
