Overall, it is clear that bachelor’s degree contributed the most in the graph in both two years. Besides, the percentage of students participating in master’s and associate qualifications also increased a lot from 1980 to 2000, meanwhile, the doctoral field was the only decrease in this period.
To be more specific, bachelor’s degree was always the most significant factor in total, with over three quarters in 1980. Although this figure went down, it also represented modest 42% in 2000. On the other hand, the proportion of master’s diploma accounted for tiny nine percent in 1980; however, there was a notable jump up to about one in three in 2000.
Associate and doctoral areas had less improvement during the 20-year period. The proportion of associate degree rose slightly from 13% in 1980 to 18% in 2000. In contrast, the percentage of university student enrolments in doctoral degree was not only the minority in graphs, but also continuously decreased in 2000.
