The chart presents data about changes that took three different areas crime in Panama City in 10-year period between 2010 and 2019.
Overall, at the beginning, the number of burglaries was ahead of others. But it didn’t last long, and trend dropped noticeable before the slightly increasing. Meanwhile robberies almost started and ended up at the same spot. Car theft started between burglary and robbery and did the same thing as robbery but figure saw a small decreasing before remain stable.
In 2010, burglary was dominant with almost 3,500 incidents. But it didn’t go on for long, two years later it decreased by 1,000, the decline continued and figure dropped into 1,000. In 2016 it increased by 500, making it second increasing throughout the given period. After that trend remained stable and managed to end with 1,300 cases.
If we look at robbery, it clear that it was the least common with just 700 cases in the beginning. The number of acts went up to almost 1000 within two years. It gradually decreased over five years and dropped to 500 in 2015. The figure remained stable till the end after small increasing in 2017 by over 200 cases. When it comes to car theft, it started with 2700 situation, and didn’t changed in the next two years. Then numbers decreased to 2000 in 2013. It took four year to get back to its previous position. After that numbers raised and it returned to where it started.
