The diagram illustrates the various stages involed in the production of olive oil.
Overall, the production process consists of seven stages, beginning with the picking of olives and culminating in storage and sale of the finished oil.The process involves washing, crushing, pressing and separating the different components before the final product is stored. The process takes approximately 10 minutes.
Initially, the olives are picked from the trees and then rinsed throughly with cold water.after being washed, they are fed into a machine where they are smashed, resulting in a mixture of olive paste and olive stones.
During the pressing stage,a mixture of oil and water is produced. These two liquids are separeted from each other.
The resulting paste is then placed into bags with holes and subjected to pressure. This process produce a mixture of oil and water, which is subsequently separeted. Finally, the olive oil is stored and prepared for sale. Thus, the process transforms freshly picked olives into the finished oil through a series of mechanical stages.
