The diagram gives the process in which olive oil is produced.
Overall, the process consists of seven steps, commencing with the picking olives and ending with distributing the product to stores and being available to purchase. It is also worth mentioning that the process is fairly complex, requiring both manual labor and the use of special machinery.
The process starts by picking the olives from olive trees. These freshly harvested olives are then rinsed in cold water to remove any dirt and impurities. After the cleaning stage, olives are then transferred to smashing machine by the use of belt, which seperates them them into olive paste and olive stones.
In the next stage of the process, the olive paste is put into bags with holes, which then is pressed by pressing machine. The resulting product, then undergoes a seperating process in a centrifuge to seperate olive from water. Finally, olives are then stored and ready for consumer use.
