The line graph compares the quantity of parcels transported by two main mail service companies (FedEx and TNT) over 80 years, from 1920 to 2000.
Overall, there was a significant increase followed by a dramatic drop at the beginning of the period for FedEx, while TNT saw a remarkable rise throughout the eight decades, ranking first among the two courier companies.

Afterwards, the figure saw a dramatic fall to approximately 12,000 parcels, then it experienced a steady decline from 1950 to 1960. Next, it rapidly grew to roughly 18,000 parcels delivered by 1980, remaining at the same level for the next two decades.
Compared to FedEx, TNT mail services had a considerably lower starting point, standing at just above 5,000 parcels in the year 1920. The company’s number of delivered parcels doubled by 1960. The company experienced a gradual rise compared to that of FedEx, with steady fluctuation between 1950 and 1960. Then, the figure saw a two-and-a-half-fold increase by 2000, reaching a peak of just below 25,000 parcels. TNT Mail company stood first in 2000, having overtaken FedEx.
