The diagram Illustrates the number of parcels delivered by two trending mail services companies: Federal Express and TNT.
Overall, there were a large fluctuations in both of the companies while FedEx was at the peak initially but surpassed by TNT at the end of the period.
FedEx delivered 15,000 parcels at the beginning time period, it sharply rose and reached at around 20,000 before reaching to at the level of 25,000 in 1935. However, it started to decline remained at 12000 continuously for 15 years (1945 to 1960). After that, it experienced a steep increase until 1980 and remains at the same level till 2000.
The former delivered almost 5100 parcels in 1920 and showed a surge till it reach to 1200 in the year 1960. Despite a brief resurgence, TNT experienced its downward trajectory culminating at 10500 in 1970 and remains unaltered for the next 5years. From 1980, TNT noted a steep increase to reach at the same level of FedEx in the year 1935. At the end, TNT grew considerably outpaced its competitors.
