The diagram illustrates a group of eight Islands, situated in the Hawaiian area of the Pacific Ozean.
Overall it can be seen, that the Islands ( Kauai, Ni’ihau, Oahu, Kaho’olawe, Lanai, Molokai, Maui and Hawaii), have been exposed by volcanic activities (Plural?) for a minimum of 80 years. Since this period of time the Islands are endangered by many eruptions, which push the tectonic plate in (to?) the north-west direction. The Unit is measured in 0 – 100 kilometers.
In a bottom up process the eruption starts in the 2880 km deep solid dense reck, whereby the „hot spot” spume keeps static. In this stage the magma spume is collected, before it will be pressed to the surface, where it causes repetitive eruptions.
As an effect the Pacific tectonic Plate will be shifted 7 to 9 centimeters per year in the north-western direction. As a result of this process the distance between the islands rises permanently. As long as the volcanos are active, this cycle will continue and cause further shifting movements.
