The picture shows a flow charts for planting pineapples and processing of the pineapples to several end products.
The growth of pineapples requires both natural sources of energy from the sun and artificial chemicals which are added to boost the growth. The process takes about 12 months to produce a fully grown pineapple.
The process begins with the energy from sunlight of about 20 to 30 degrees celcius. After 7 months, chemicals are added to boost the growth and withing 5 months we get a grown pineapple which weighs about 2 kilograms and it’s about 30cm in length.
The pineapples are then harvested and washed thoroughly with water to remove dirt before they are processes to other products mechanically. They are first cut into small pieces and the juice is extracted using a blender and is immediately ready for drinking. The small pieces can also be thinly sliced and packed into cans which can be sold for consumption. The final fate of the pineapples is that they can be ferried for exports using ships to other countries which can generate income and job opportunities for people.
This is a simple illustration of how pineapples are grown and processes to ther products.
