The diagram illustartes how a simple water filter is used to produce clean drinking water.
Overall, there are five stages in this process of producing clean drinking water , beginning with pouring impure water into a large ffilter and ending with storing the purified water in a storage trank.
At the beginning of the process, a large container prepared with three different layers in filter materials. Sand is placed at the top, charcoal kept in the middle, and gravel was in the bottom of the filter. In addition, pipe is conected to the side of the container, which help to filtered the water easily. After that, the impure water is poured into the container.
In next stage, the water slowly passes through the layers of sand, charcoal and gravel, where it is filtered and cleaned. During these process, the unwanted materials are removed from the water. Afterwards, the puriied water is passes through the pipe into the drinking water storage tank. Finally, the clean water is stored in the trank and ready for use.
