The diagram below depicts the different stages related to recycling process of plastic materials.
Overall, there are seven stages in the cycle, beginning with the gathering of plastic waste and culminating in production of new products.
The recycling begins with the collection of waste materials from various trash cans. Subsequently, this collected materials are gone to the specialized facilities for separation on different groups. In this step, different types of plastic, like bottles, bags, and solid plastic, are sorted to make sure only similar types continue through the recycling.
Following separation, every type of sorted waste is compacted into smaller pieces. These pieces are thoroughly cleaned to remove any dirt or impurities. Following this, the plastic is melted down and formed into pellets. Finally, these pellets can be used to create new products. In conclusion, this recycling process not only creates new plastic materials but also helps the environment by reducing waste and encouraging the use of eco-friendly resources.
