The diagram depicts the formation of a water filter and the process of cleaning and producing clean water.
Overall, the water goes through several stages, beginning with pouring water into the filter and ending with getting fresh, drinking water.
Firstly, water is filled into the plastic barrel to be contained before and after the process, and then the filter is closed with a plastic lid. Following this, it is transferred to the filtering system. In the beginning, the water passes through sand in order to be cleaned of hard materials. Then it is delivered to the charcoal, which also does the same work as the sand, but in this stage, the main attention is directed toward avoiding small debris, which can highly affect water safety. Following this, the water passes through a gravel stage, where it is purified of colonized bacteria and viruses and harmful contaminants are removed. Finally, the sanitized water is delivered to a storage drum for accessing fresh and potable water.
