The diagram illustrates a detailed construction of landfill for household waste. In addition, the illustration also presents how the waste from household is stored.
Basically , there are 4 stages in total which include the tructure construction and function of this design. the waste is stored underground which is seperated from the layer of natural rock.
Firstly, the employees need to dig a grand cavity on the surface of natural rock ensuring it is capable to contain a large quantity of rubbish. After that, they install all the equipments that are essential for the process. The outer layer of the construction is a clay layer surrounded the cavity following by a synthetic lining in order to seperate the waste from the natural rock area. however, it is important to ensure the employee should make an extra drainage tank then attach 7 drainage pipes horizontally on the bottom of the hole(on top the tank).
After the construction of the base, household waste delivered by the trucks and poured into the cavity. The drainage tank is used as a container of waste liquid to isolate the liquid with the dried litter. Then, a pipe is connected to the drainage pipe so that the distinct gases can be escaped. Finally, another clay layer covers on the top to seal the waste undeground so that the environment outside will not be effected.
