The Below diagram shows the process of filtering impure water to drinking water with the simple water filter.

Overall it can be seen that just collecting some basic things like charcoal, sand and gravel impure water can be filtered and potable water can be obtained.

Initially, impure water passed into the container which have three layers that are sand, gravel and the charcoal the gravel placed at the bottom of the container then after the charcoal layered spread after that the top layer spared with the sand.

When impure water passed to the container from the top water passing with three layer water filter process and at the end of the container there is metal pipe which transferred the filter water to the second container which was the water storage tank at the bottom of the tank there is tap where people take pure water from the tank to drink the water and other purposes.
