The working of hydro-electric power generation is demonstrated in the diagram.
Initially, the sea water is evaporated using the sun’s heat. Evaporation leads to form rainy clouds which rain at different regions. Hence, the rain water is stored in a reservoir like a dam. The collected water is further passed to the turbine by opening the valve. The turbine is rotated with the help of high-pressure water flow which generates electricity. Once the power is generated, the water is further moved to the reservoir with the help of a pump.
Meanwhile, the power generated from the turbine is passed to electricity poll using the high voltage cable lines. This cable lines further transmit power to the transformer station. Therefore, from the transformation station, electricity is supplied to hospitals, schools, industrials areas or houses using underground cables.
Overall, it is evident that the process of generating electricity take place near the reservoir region, which is transmitted to hospitals, schools and many other places using underground cables from the transformer station.
