The diagram depicts a challenging process of how leather goodss are manufactured. It requires 11 following steps, which in the end provide us with with the end products which we can use on our daily basis.
First of all, the animal skin has to be completely dryed out and right after that it is transported to the factory, where all other procedures take place.
The skin should be put into a major container with the mixture of water and lime, the skin should be washed in this liquid. Furthermore, it has to absorb the small amount of liquid and then it goes through the process of soaking. The next step is to flatter the skin between two heavy rollers, it helps to squeeze all the unnecessary liquid which skin has at that period of time.
Then the procedure of tanning takes place. It looks quite similar to the process of washing, however instead of lime, it requires vegetable matter.
After that, the product is being polished and taken to another manufactury where the final products are made. In the end we have diverse clothing items and other goods made of leather.
