the diagram iluatrates the process for the formulation of cosnsumble sugar from sugarcane.
Overall, the process contains four majors steps firstly, harvesting sugarcan from farms then secondly, extracting juice from sugarcanand then transporting it to refineries.Thirdly in the refineries the extract is converted to syrups and finaly sugar is crystalised from syrup, pacakaged and distributed.
In the starting first the sugarcane from the farms is harvested and tarnsported to the factories. In the factories after reciving sugancane the processes of extracting juics is started by firstly crushing the sugarcan sticks.Secondly, soaking and squeezing the juice from it.Then this juice is boiled till most water content evaporates and a thick syrups is left behind which is then crystallised. This crystals are then spinned at high rotation per minutes in a centrifuge to remove access liquid and raw sugar is produced. Now this is transported to the refineries for improving its quality or removal of impurities.
In the refineries firstly the raw sugar is melted at high temperature and filtered to remove any impurities and extra color to produce sugar syrup. Now the sugar syrup which is free from impurities is recrystalised and then this crystals are dried usings fans or driers. After drying the sugar is ready for pacakaging it is then packed and is ready for distribution.
This is how the raw sugarcane from farms are converted to the consumable sugar.
