Overall, the method of producing compost consists of 5 steps, which starts with the main plastic container with four holes for air circulation and ends with recycled garden compost.
First of all, organic waste such as newspaper, grass, and food is placed in a plastic container’s bottom and takes up half the space, approximately 30 cm. Meanwhile, nitrogen and hot water need to be poured into a half-full plastic bottle with waste. As a result, the waste gets wet, which is a significant part of the whole process. Next, the wet waste is dried due to the holes in the plastic container with heat, which is at a high temperature. After heating, the waste must stand for 6 months. The waste that made up half the container now makes up only a quarter.
To sum up, garden fertilizer (compost) can be made from organic waste with a 5-step process.
