Overall, there was a significant disparity between categories of the graph. The countries that had high mortality rates due to heart disease and cancer tended to have lower contributions of death due to calories derived from unrefiend plant foods,and vice versa.
In detail, the contribution of people who died from heart disease and cancer in Hungary is 90%, That figure for USA, Belgium, Sweden and Finland was almost 80%, 70%, 65% and 60% respectively. While the percentage of deaths from calories derived from processed plant sources is 10% in Hungary, followed by the USA, Belgium, Sweden and Finland the proportion remains between 10% to 20%. In contrast, in Laos, the figure for deaths from heart disease and cancer is approximately 90% higher than that for deaths from calories consumed from unrefiend plant foods (95% and 5% ,respectively). Additionally, the figure for heart disease and cancer in Thailand, Korea and Mexico were nearly between 48% to 73%. While the figure for deaths from calorie intakes from processed sources in these countries were almost between 10% to 28%.
Moreover, it can be seen that the two figures in Greece were approximately identical While the figure for deaths from calorie derived from unrefiend plant foods was larger by a narrow margin.
