The diagrams illustrate the current layout of a university’s biomedical campus alongside the proposed modifications for its future development. Overall, the campus is expected to experience substantial expansion, with the current building being enlarged and new specialized faculties being established. This development will mainly include restructuring the road system and converting some green areas into space for additional facilities.
At present, there is a car park adjective to a green space, which is surrounded by a L-shaped road. A walkway which separates the campus into two areas is perpendicular to the road. On the western side, a Biochemistry building is located behind a Lab, and some trees are planted here. In the east, a Gene-tics building is constructed next to another Lab and a Biotech building.
In the future, the campus will have many changes. In the north, the car park will be unchanged. However, the green space will be reduced to make way for the construction of a Bio-imaging building and Gene-tics 1 building. The road is planned to be expanded so that it encircles the campus, and a staff parking area will be located along it. In addition, the pedestrian path will be broadened, dividing the campus into two distinct sections. In the west, the Lab will stay in its current location, whereas the Biochemistry building is set to undergo expansion. On the eastern side, the Biotech building will be enlarged, and next to it is the Lab and a Gene-tics 2 building.
