The maps below illustrates the layout of the biomedical campus of a university at the present and after the planned redevelopment.
From an overall, the biomedical campus will go through a significant modification in the future, combine with new facilities such as staff car park, bio-imaging. In addition, plants area will be destroyed to make way for accommodate and divide the car park into two separates.
Looking to the upper side of the map, almost the tree area will be removed to construct a gene-tics 1 and a bio-imaging for student, while a car park will remain unchanged. Besides, there is also a considerable changes in the road and walkway. If the road and walkway serve to divide three sections of the campus currently, the road will be moved to the left-hand side and the walkway will match three area together.
Regarding the southern section, the adjacent tree in the bottom left will be cleared to build a staff car park and L – shaped road connecting it. The Biochemistry building will be moved slightly to the northeast and turned diagonally. The existing Genetics building will become Genetics 2, whereas the Biotech will be expanded under the proposed plan. However, both laboratories will remain on the campus.
