The two pictures describe the changes that will be made in the biomedical campus of a university at present and in the future.
Overall, the campus will undergo significant development with more cutting-edge facilities added, while a number of trees will decrease in the wooded area.
As can be seen in the first map, a road runs along from the north-west corner toward the centre, where it meets the walkway from the south. This design divides the campus into three parts. The largest part includes a big wooded area with several trees. This area is also where a car park for all is located in the top right-hand corner. To the south-west of the car park is a functional area, where a genetics building, a laboratory and a biotechnology room are built up. In the third section, where there is a laboratory and a biochemistry building are also located
Regarding the planned map, there will be a road running along the west side. This road will then connect to another road at the bottom, where a staff car park will be constructed. The forest in the northern part of the campus will be cleared to make way for more buildings. Genetics 1 building will be erected at right angles to a bio-imaging room which is the new facility. The concept of the functional area will remain largely the same except for the structure of the biotechnology building. The new third section will be divided into two more smaller areas. One will be the new staff car park and another will remain largely the same except there will be no trees as they will be all removed to allow the expansion of the biochemistry building.
