The diagram below illustrates the process of recycling plastic bottles. In this essay, I will explain how the recycling process works and the various stages involved in creating new products from recycled materials.
The journey begins with the collection of plastic bottles. Once the collection is complete, the bottles are transported to the recycling center. At the recycling center, the first step is sorting. Workers separate different types of plastics to ensure that only compatible materials are processed further. This is crucial because mixing different types of plastics can hinder the recycling process. After sorting, the bottles are washed to remove any contaminants.
Once the bottles are cleaned, they are crushed into small pieces and then compressed into a large block. The final stage involves processing these blocks. They are heated to create raw materials, which are then formed into small pellets. These small pellets can be turned into a variety of new products. This entire process restarts again and again.
