The diagram illustrates the process of generating electricity using a system called Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion.
Overall, it is a man-made cycling process with three stages. It starts from warm ocean water converted into water vapor by using solar energy and ends with producing electricity and drinking water.
In terms of the process of generating electricity and drinking water, initially hot seawater is transformed into vapor by using sun energy, then it is sent to the evaporation chamber, where vapor is converted into two parts: evaporation and saltwater. This chamber is also connected to a condensing block and turbine section. A portion of vapor converted into evaporation is sent to the turbine, where electricity is produced.
It can be clearly seen that the turbine is also joined to the condensing chamber. In the turbine, passing evaporation comes to the condensing block and saltwater filtered in the evaporation chamber, which is arrived at by the cold seawater pipe. It is surrounded by the condensing chamber and is 1000 meters deep in the sea level, which has a temperature of 5 degrees Celsius. Saltwater is disposed by using the cold seawater pipe and then the chamber producing drinking water.
