The flow chart illustrates the man-made process of manufacturing olive oil.
Overall, the production of olive oil involves seven main stages, starting with collecting olives from trees and finishing with storing and selling the oil.
The process begins with ripe olives are picked and stored in baskets by farmers. Following this, the olives are transported to a machine which rinses them with cold water to remove any dirt or impurities before being put on a conveyor belt. Then the belt transfers them to a smashing machine where they are crushed. After this stage is done, the olive paste and olive stones are produced.
After this stage is completed, the olive paste is packed in bags which have holes. Subsequently, the bags are placed under a press machine to extract olive oil from water. Then, the oil is divided into bottles and they are delivered to local markets, malls, where they are stored and sold to customers.
