The process diagram below illustrates the way in which cement and concrete are made, and shows tools that are used in the production.
Overall, the process consist of two main stages: cement production and then concrete production, which includes using that cement. The first one starts with mixing limestone and clay together and ends with packaging of a ready for use cement, which is later combined with other elements in order to form concrete.
Taking a closer look, after being put in a crusher, clay and limestone then become a powder and go though a mixer . Following that, this substance is directed through a pipe to a rotating heater, heat to which is provided from the other end. After that, our meterial goes through a grinder, before becoming a cement, which is later packed in large bags.
Turning to the concrete production, that starts from mixing 10 percent of water, 15 percent of cement, 25 percent of sand, 50 percent of gravel all together. Then this substance is placed in a big pot called a concrete mixer, which is then begins to rotate.
