Overall, the 41-50 age group accounted for the highest numbers spending watching TV, while the youngest group had the smallest share. Furthermore, in 2020, women were more attracted to TV programs compared with men, except for the 31-40 group, which figures were the same.
In 2020, women aged between 25-30 recorded 15 hours per week, while the men in this age cohort registered 10 hours, indicating a 50% decrease. However, in the subsequent group, 31-40, the figure was 15 for both men and women, representing an increase in men’s participation. These figures grew notably for the 41-50 age group, with men achieving 22, and women reaching 25. This upward trend was continuous for the oldest age group, with men reaching a peak of 24, and women hitting the highest point of 27.
Coming to 2021, women and men of the youngest group both recorded 10 hours, while in the subsequent group, this figure surged dramatically for both of them, increasing twofold, with men reaching 20, and women reaching 22. For the next age group, figures continued rising, with men and women both reaching the highest point of 27. For the oldest age group, the figure for women showed a significant fall to 20. Whereas, men’s figure reflected a more slight decrease to 25, surpassing women for the first time.
