The image depicts the life cycle of sea turtles, illustrating various stages. It starts with eggs (1-2 weeks incubation) leading to hatchlings who then venture into open ocean surface foraging (lost years 2-20). These juveniles subsequently mature during developmental migration lasting 30-50 years in coastal shallow waters, inhabited by both immature and adult turtles. The sequence continues as adult females return to foraging areas, and adults migrate to mating areas, leading to nesting by females after returning to foraging areas at 2-week intervals. Adult males journey back to foraging areas, completing the cycle. The process covers hatchlings, young juveniles, adults, and nesting activities, emphasizing developmental migration and the recurring nature of mating and nesting in the life of sea turtles.

The diagram illustrates the life cycle of a sea turtle. It shows the different stages a sea turtle goes thoughout its life.
First, the eggs are laid and they are in a nest for 6-8 weeks as a result of nesting and after this time period completes, they hatch. After 3 years from hatching, they are called ‘Oceanic Juveniles’. At the age of 5 they are called ‘Coastal Juveniles’ as they are exposed to the coast. Moreover, when they are 5 year old, they are considered ‘Sub-adults’.
Before the age of 20 and above, they are sub-adults, while at the agr of 20 or more they become ‘Adults’. After 2 months of becoming adults, they start migration and breeding with fellow turtles. Some migrate while some stay back. As a reult of breeding, they bear eggs
and prepare nests for thier babies. After 6-8 months they lay eggs and this cycle continues.
