The diagram shows the process of producing hydroelectric energy using water stored in a reservoir.
Overall, the process consist several stages. Begining with water being released from a reservoir through sluice gates and ending with electricity being transmitted through power cables. The water subsequently flows into a river after passing through a turbine.
In the begining, water is stored in a reservoir behind a large dam. When the sluice gates are opened, water flows down through a channel toward a turbine. As the water passes through the turbine, it causes the turbine to rotate. The turbine is connected to a generater located inside the powehouse, which converts mechanical energy to electrical energy.
Following this, the electricity produced by the generator is passed to a transformer, where its voltage is adjusted for transmission. It is then carried away through power cables. Meanwhile after turning the turbine, the water continues flowing downstream and is eventually discharged into the river.
