The picture depicts how pineapples and pineapple products are grown and prepared. In general, there are 15 main stages involved in the process, starting from planting the crown and finishing with completing pineapple juice, canes or exporting the waxed pineapples.
To begin with, the crown are planted into the ground with the distance of 26 centimeter from each other, under the sunlight in between 23 to 30 degree. After seven months, the crown are placed under the sun while being sprayed ethylene on. Five months later, once the pineapples has grown into 30 centimeter high and weighted 2 kilogram, they are then ready to be harvested.
At this point, the pineapples are washed and graded into three: small, medium and big pineapples. After that, the small and medium pineapples are both cut off the crown and peeled. Subsequently, the small one are then put into the extractor to be made into pineapple juice. With the medium pineapples, they are cut into rings, and then those can be keep as rings or are cut into small pieces. Finally, both of which are put into cans in order to be pineapples cans. For the large pineapples, after being coated with a layer of wax to pretend rotting, they are then packed into boxes in order to be exported.
